Privacy Policy

This policy covers the PDF Editor Kit website (pdfeditorkit.app) and the PDF Editor Kit apps for Android, Windows and Mac. They are made by Hein Thu Ya Kyaw, an independent developer.

Your files stay on your device

Every tool runs on your own phone or computer. When you choose a PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text or picture file, it is read and changed on your device. We never upload it, because we have no server that receives files. We cannot see your files, signature, photos or scanned pages.

What we collect

We do not ask you to sign up. We do not collect your name, email address, files or location. The website and the apps do not use analytics or tracking cookies, and the website does not store anything about you in your browser.

The website and the apps currently show no ads. If we add ads in the future, we will update this page first, say which ad company is used and what it collects, and ask for your consent where the law requires it (for example in the EU, UK and Switzerland).

Donations

If we add a donation option, the payment is handled by the payment service you choose. We do not see or store your card or bank details.

Website hosting and other companies

Hosting. The website is delivered by a web hosting company (Cloudflare). Like every web host, it may keep standard technical logs, such as the time of a visit, your IP address and your browser type, to keep the site working and safe. We do not use these logs to look at your files, because we never receive them.
Code libraries. The web tools use open-source code libraries (for PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files). We store them on our own website, so your browser does not contact any other company to load them. See the licences.
App stores and downloads. If you get the app from Google Play or from GitHub, those services have their own privacy policies. We do not receive your account details from them.
Google Drive. In the Android app, if you pick a file from Google Drive, the Drive app on your phone gives us a copy. Drive follows Google's own privacy policy.

Children

PDF Editor Kit is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal information about you, there is normally nothing for us to show, change or delete. If you think we hold something about you, or you have any question, contact us and we will answer.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will change the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect, we will tell you in the app or on the website.
